A lot of guys have trouble speaking what they want to especially when it comes to their wedding grooms speech. I think men still have this wussy mentality. They have these cards or a napkin they wrote their speech on, and it has so little on it.
When the grooms actually start their wedding groom speeches, they feel a lot more comfortable and that small paragraph they had written down actually becomes an essay. That’s generally where most of these guys mess up. They tend to fumble on words… it basically becomes a really bad oral speech you’d hear from a high school.
This is why it’s just generally better to really start writing your wedding speech a long time before the date. There can be a lot of notes (A LOT) for your speech and that’s okay. If you need to say anything off the top of your head that’s fine too (it looks more dramatic… laying your head down and looking at your wife or the audience).
It can be a little tough for the groom. Wedding speech problems are a big thing but what it comes down to is just saying why you’re marrying this woman.
